The skin impression was unearthed at the Lance Formation, South Dakota in the United States. The impression was from a baby Triceratops that was found with a partial tail section at the Lance Formation. The fossil is a nice size measuring 5.375" x 3.25" x 1.25" at its tallest/widest and weighs 14 oz.
